iPhone apps

I build iPhone and iPad apps and take them all the way to the App Store.

Often a website is enough. I'll tell you which one fits your business before any app work starts.

Built with SwiftUI, Apple's own toolkit, for iPhone and iPad.

  • Try it before launch

You get test versions to use on your own phone before the app is public.

  • The App Store, handled

Apple reviews every app and every update. I take care of that process.

  • Quick changes without a new version

Hours, menus and specials are set up so they can be updated without waiting on the App Store.

Who it’s for

Some businesses need an app. Many don’t, and I’ll tell you if you’re one of them.

A website works on every phone, and nobody has to download anything. An app earns its keep when customers will open it again and again, or when it has to do something a website does poorly, like working without a signal.

If that sounds like your business, read on.

What I build

I build apps for iPhone and iPad with SwiftUI, Apple’s own toolkit for building apps.

Two of my apps are on the App Store today. Both are my own products.

  • Danceify turns one photo into an AI dance video. You pick a photo, choose one of 16 dance styles, then save and share the result.
  • Phlix Photos lets you browse the photos on a Plex Media Server by date. It plays 4K slideshows on a TV and saves photos to your phone for when you’re offline.

I also built the website for each one. An app needs a website: a place for people to find it, plus the support and privacy pages the App Store asks for. The Phlix site scored 100 for speed in Google’s Lighthouse test for phones, measured October 12, 2026.

How the work goes

  1. We talk. You tell me what you want the app to do and who will use it. If a website would do the job, I’ll say so.
  2. You try it on your own phone. Before launch, you get test versions to install and use. It’s the real app, not a picture of one.
  3. It goes to the App Store. Apple reviews every app and every update before it reaches the store. I take care of that process.
  4. I keep looking after it. Apps need updates, and the parts that change often shouldn’t have to wait for one.

After launch

I set up the parts that change often, like hours, menus and specials, so they can be updated without a new App Store version. Bigger changes go out as a new version, through Apple’s review.

Asking for a change works the way it does for a website. You tell me what you need in plain words. The care plans page explains how.

Wondering whether an app makes sense for your business? Tell me what you have in mind. You’ll get a straight answer.

Questions

Common questions

Does my business need an app, or is a website enough?

Often a website is enough. It works on every phone, and nobody has to download anything. An app earns its keep when customers will open it again and again, or when it has to do something a website does poorly, like working without a signal. Not sure which you need? Ask me, and I’ll tell you honestly which one fits.

What apps have you built?

Two you can download from the App Store today, both my own. Danceify is an iPhone app that turns one photo into an AI dance video. Phlix Photos is an iPhone and iPad app for browsing the photos on a Plex Media Server by date, with 4K slideshows on a TV. I built both in SwiftUI, Apple’s own toolkit for building apps. I also built the website for each one.

Who handles getting the app into the App Store?

I do. Apple reviews every app and every update before it reaches the App Store, and I take care of that process. Before launch, you get test versions to try on your own phone. I also set up the parts that change often, like hours, menus and specials, so they can be updated without a new App Store version.

Do you build Android apps too?

My app work is for iPhone and iPad. I build with SwiftUI, Apple’s own toolkit, and both of my apps on the App Store are built that way. If your customers are split between iPhone and Android, a fast website reaches all of them, because it works on every phone.
